About Me
I am Scott Brown, (if you haven't already guessed). I am a ASE Master Auto
Technician. I am a graduate of Chatham Central High School and live near Siler
City North Carolina. My home is in a rural area and I enjoy the lifestyle.
I was born and raised in the Southwest corner of Chatham Country North Carolina. I grew up on a farm and learned many things about life and nature from my childhood.
Our farm was not what I call a hobby farm where someone has a primary source of income and farms as a tax write off but a true farm where all the income is generated from the land and livestock.
Farming taught me to be aware of the weather because farming is so dependent on it. I gained a great respect for nature and how closely it relates to our lives. I remember enjoying everything from the smell after a summer storm to the sunrise every morning I worked at my Grandfathers Dairy.
My scholastic education began at Bennett Elementary School and continued at Chatham Central High School where I graduated in 1990.
I then attended classes and received my certification in small engines, after a
time at a small engine dealer I switched to heavy equipment. After two years in the heavy equipment industry a GM Dealer hired me and my automotive career began. I then obtained a 2-year degree in Automotive Servicing and completed over
300 hours at the General Motors Training Center in Charlotte.
During my time at the dealer I worked with field engineers in the in house computer networks and gained much experience from them. I moved to an Independent shop after
8 years at the dealer and immediately began working on cars and computers there. I worked with Alldata and Napa Tracs beta testing software and in conjunction with Alldata set up one of the first networks that utilized Alldata independently from the DVD Disks.
I then opened my own business and worked independently Six years on Web Sites, Computers and photography.
I am now a
Lieutenant for the
Pittsboro Fire Department.
I enjoy Computers and Web design and designed both sites for the departments. My current projects
include storm photography and working with Kodak's Developer Relations Group.
